H Kimberly,

The help you seek is not the help you need. Quite the opposite, in fact!

A deep sense of faith in Nature's design, trust in Nature's process and the

patience that flows from such faith and trust, these are your friends, now

and always. Impatience and what you call " greed " are your undoing.

You have before you two options, one borne of such faith and trust, the

other borne of fear and its necessary results, impatience and more.

One option is to acknowledge and trust your own innate intelligence, that

vast storehouse of knowledge inherent in you, in each of us, from the moment

we come into existence. If you choose this option, then you will select

carefully those from whom you choose to learn, what you wish to have

entering your mind, your being. You will reach out to those people for

support and encouragement, not only when you " need it " , but all along the

way, so that you " need it " as infrequently as possible.

The other option is to reach out to the peddlers of the world, those who

would sell you all manner of drugs by one or another name ... supplements,

herbs, and other " fix-its " designed to focus your attention upon their

process rather than upon your own. If you choose this option, you sacrifice

far more than your process, for you relinquish your very path to

self-reliance.

I heartily recommend that you choose the former option!

An article of faith that may help you now: Your being will never bring into

your awareness, create in your experience, more than you have the capacity

to handle. At the same time, every part of your being will seek the fastest

path toward health in every present moment, given whatever conditions you

create.

Best,

Elchanan

[Raw Food] Newbie Needs Encouragement

<<< snip >>>

Here's where I need your help: I'm impatient!! The detox my body is going

through is TOUGH. I am so tired some days I don't want to leave the house.

And the instant weight loss that I keep reading about in books just hasn't

happened for me... I must admit, I'm greedy. It would be nice to drop 10

quick pounds as a visible reward for the changes I'm making. (Changes that

still feel like sacrifices right now given how new all of this is to me.)

I think my honeymoon stage with the raw food way is over, and I just would

like reassurance from someone that, yes, what I'm going through is normal,

especially given my history, and that yes, it will indeed get better. I

don't plan on divorcing the diet, but wise words from other raw food

compadres could make the marriage a little more enjoyable in the rough

spots.

How about the options of research, wisdom, and intelligent thought?

Don't you think you should familiarize yourself with some introductory physical

chemistry before making erroneous, crackpot statements about freezing?

Is this the same " innate intelligence " that you consulted before telling fairy

stories about physical chemistry?

Tell that to the hundreds of millions who die unnecessarily because they never

put out the effort to learn how to eat.
