Guest guest
Hi Laura, Well still a bit to learn, perhaps. You write: ___ I also learned something very interesting. People worry about eating protein to get enough protein when in fact, protein does not make protein in the body...amino acids make protein in the body (greens). ___ All proteins are made of amino acids. The number and sequencing of the aminos defines the protein. Therefore, an infinite number of distinct proteins could, theoretically be created. This is part of why industry is so interested ... it's an endless playground, from their perspective. So proteins exist in fruits and greens and nuts and seeds and animal milks and flesh and stems and weeds and bugs and bacteria ... and everywhere we find proteins, when we take them apart, we find amino acids linked in a chain. Now, the MIX of aminos, which are prevalent, and the length of the chains .... these matter a lot!!! But to say that we can, at least in theory, get aminos from plants and not from animals is false. Hope this is clear! Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Laura Urbaitis Monday, October 29, 2007 9:56 AM rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Re:How do I get enough protein?...raw meat... This is true, there has never been a single recorded case of protein deficiency in the U.S. Big strong animals like cows, horses etc. get their protein from plants firsthand. I also learned something very interesting.
