Hi Nicole,

Thanks for expressing your curiosity and desire to explore further.

Yes, Ann Wigmore did encourage people to drink wheat grass juice and to do

various other things I would not suggest as " optimal " . And Ann Wigmore

experienced GREAT success working with sick people, helping them to recover

their health.

What Ann Wigmore did not do, to my knowledge, and also what Brian and

Gabriel and HA and all these others have not done, to my knowledge, is work

with high-performing people ... world-class athletes, world-class

performers, and the like, and figure out a RF program that would help them

not only become " healthy " , but become their very best in the company of the

very best.

The ONLY RF teacher of whom I am aware, past or present, who has done this

is Dr. Douglas Graham. I have not done this, I have only learned about doing

this. I have not personally worked with, on a sustained basis, any of the

world-class performers of whom I speak. Only Doug has done this, to my

knowledge.

And because of this, Doug has developed and now possesses a body of

knowledge that none of the others can even imagine ... quite literally.

For example, how DO you eat, so that when you swim across the Atlantic Ocean

from the South America to Aruba, you cut your time in half, from 22 hours to

11, then have the energy left over to paddle back with barely a break.

How DO you eat, so that when your career as a professional basketball player

appears to be at its end, you are able to come back and experience YEARS of

additional playing time ... first-team playing time?

None of these who hold forth as teachers of health ... Brian, Gabriel, the

HA folks, the herb folks, the aroma therapy folks, the homeopathy folks, or

any other of these fine folks ... has even ATTEMPTED to answer this

question, much less succeeded in doing so.

So when I look to Doug Graham as a Teacher, not just a teacher, it is not

because he has been raw for more than a quarter century ... others have done

this. It is not because he himself was once a member of the United States

Olympic Team ... though I know of no other RF teacher who has done this. It

is not because he has not, to my knowledge, missed a day's work in decades,

though again, I know of no other RF teacher who has done this, either.

No, it is not for any of these reasons at all.

Instead, it is simply because of this: when all is said and done, Doug

Graham knows how to eat, how to think, and in many respects how to live, so

that we all get the very most out of life.

Now, THAT'S for me!!!

You?

Best to all,

Elchanan

[Raw Food] Re: Grass:; Not Food for Our Species; Questions for

Erica (WAS: An Overview Of The Living Foods Diet / What Most Raw Fooders

Practice)

Elchanan,

I don't know abut Erica, but the first time I read about the benefits of

wheatgrass, it was Dr. Ann Wigmore. And I still don't have much of an idea

about natural hygiene. I picked up one of Natalie Rose's books (if I'm

remembering correctly it was her)in Borders the other day, and was reading

about body brushing and rebounding being excellent for lymph drainage...Had

no clue what body brushing was, or how one does it, even after online

searches. I'm sure there's better info out there, I just haven't run across

it as yet......
