Guest guest
Well, not really, it sort of scratches around on the surface. It doesn't get into the issued of conflicting belief systems, the cosmological issues. at all. Nor does the reporting team ever ask why, in the presence of SO much evidence linking diet to changes in genetic expression, the docs don't start recommending dietary changes instead of looking for more pills and potions. And I could go on. So I wouldn't say it gives the gist at all, rather that it provides a glimpse into some present-day evolution in the field of biology itself. I agree, though, that for people who have never encountered this work at all, it's a nice, easy intro. That clip is only 13 minutes of the full 60 minutes program, but it gives the gist of epigenetics. I liked the software vs hardware analogy. -Erin
