Guest guest
Tim, I'm planning on writing more about this " real soon now " , but for now, you are comparing yourself after a few weeks or months with another man after he lived a certain way for decades. Does this seem a reasonable comparison to you? Do you have any idea what Paul Bragg experienced to get to the point at which you observe him? The reason I mentioned Paul Bragg not losing hair is that it may be that only those men who are prone to losing their hair simply have this process speeded up by eating vegan/raw etc. And those who aren't prone to this will not. For instance if Ronald Reagan had ever chosen to eat 8/1/1 (now that's a thought) he probably would not have lost any hair. Tim
Guest guest
Elchanan, Though I have not always " walked the walk " in recent times...I have had an interest in various dietary aspects of natural health since the early 70's. I developed an interest in raw living and at one point spent a month at the Hippocrates Health Institute in '77 (while it was still in Boston) and then continued " raw " for a few years. For years following this I ate according to Macrobiotics. The issue of hair loss was of interest to us guys back then as it was very apparent that it increased among those who were eating raw but did not increase among those who were eating according to Macrobiotics. In fact, in Macrobiotics they discourage the eating of raw foods because they consider them to be excessively " yin. " And they even commented, back then, on the increased hair loss that this could lead to. Soy products were considered to be in the same category. As I previously mentioned, it is clear that much can be simply attributed to genetics. I have pictures of Paul Bragg going back to his youth and it is evident he never lost a significant amount of hair.
