Guest guest
I've only been raw since April. My cravings (when I get them) are mostly meat and fish, but I'm able to take care of that with adding more greens and certain types of fat. I know this goes against being raw vegan, but when I hit almost rock bottom with depression a couple of months ago, I took fish oil. I figure I had to do what I had to do to survive and it made a huge difference. NOW I make sure I take spriluna every other day, eat sea veggies at least 2x a week and a few other adjustments including other " superfoods " every now and then. I learned I cant eat the same way all of the time in other words. My acne is hormonal and I'm trying to correct years of having a hormonal imbalance - sometimes more severe than other times. Before I went raw I stopped eating gluten, then all forms of processed grains, refined sugar, dairy, soy etc for about a year before I went raw so I crave that less. I also cannot eat an 80/10/10 diet for the reason mentioned in the first paragraph. I am more of a greens and (whole) fat type of person. Though you wont see me eating a ton of nuts. Hi Carla, Have you considered Peruvian Maca? It is a food that provides the body with what it needs to help it bring hormomes back into balance and is known to be especially effective for menopausal problems (not that I'm suggesting that). http://www.macamanna.com/ -- the kneeling fool
