Joe, Did you actually get an amalgam (silver) filling? Regarding now, if you are like a lot of raw foodists, living far away from the source of the foods we eat, then many of the foods you eat, especially fruit, may be picked unripe and may be acidic. If we were eating ripe fruits right off the tree, they should be more alkaline. The increased acid can cause more decay. Perhaps other mineral/ nutrient balances are off, due to fruits being picked prematurely. Also, wearing clothes, spending much time indoors, or living in climates with a lot of cloud coverage may prevent us from getting enough vitamin D, which can affect our mineral balance. Of course, that is just one nutrient that we KNOW about that comes from the sun. What about the other nutrients that have not been discovered that we receive via sun exposure? Do we receive a form of energy directly from the sun? It sure feels good! Jeff
