Guest guest
Hi Judy, I realize that some RF teachers say this. They are flat out wrong, and in the worst sort of way. This does not " slow our metabolism of them " in any constructive sense. Rather, this loads the blood stream with fat at just the time when sugar is also being added, causing blood sugar management problems--basically, immediate " insulin resistance " . That is, the capacity of insulin to escort sugar from the blood stream and into the cells is inhibited, resulting in underfueling of cells throughout the body. Recognizing fully that this suggestion does not originate with you, it is indeed one of the worst ever to come from any RF teachers, it completely violates a most basic principle of good food combining. If glucose shortens life span, it might help to eat sweet fruits along with good fats (pureeing sweet fruits with avocado, for example), to slow down our metabolism of them.
