Guest guest
Hi Joe, Three items: 1. Just rest ... let your system lead you, that's really the whole point of fasting. Just lie down and close your eyes as much as possible. 2. This may sound strange at first, and I typically don't suggest this until someone is farther along in a fast. But since you plan to cut it fairly short ... get bored. I mean, discover constructive boredom. I can say more, if you wish. 3. Put off the whole dental thing ... even the visit. We can discuss this afterward, if you wish. No not caused by drinking distilled water, though I appreciate the chuckle. Congratulations, Joe, you're off on a great adventure. The more you extend the fast into every area of your life, the more you curtail activity of all types and just close your eyes, the deeper you'll go ... by a large measure. Our eyes/optical apparatus use an ENORMOUS amount of energy and other resources. This is my 5th fast in 2.5 years, I usually do 5-8 days. I am really getting " hit " hard on this one, in that the transition seems to be faster and deeper. Yes my diet has been almost pristine for the last few months. And for the last 2 weeks it was even more so, pure fruits and veggies, nothing added. I discovered how delicious red cabbage is a few hours after it has been chopped...doesn't even need lemon juice squeezed on it. OH. I am seeing the dentist today and may have a cavity. Should I postpone any procedures? I am not sure I want any Novocaine entering my system when I am in this state. I read you can get the cavity drilled without the pain killer if it isn't deep. I have a very high tolerance to pain and can remove myself mentally from the situation if I need to (long story), but perhaps it is best just to wait, maybe just get a cleaning today and x-rays. I can't wait to hear how impressed they are with how clean my teeth are...fruits and veggies scour them well! I think I must've got the cavity when I was drinking distilled water...it felt like it weakened my teeth after a while. A few authors highly recommended it, so that's why I tried distilled. I switched to reverse osmosis and prefer it. Anyway, have a great day Joe
Guest guest
Thanks Elchanan Yes, I need to go home and rest. I will do that. Too late to cancel the appt, but I will just go for the checkup and let the dentist check me out, and not get anything done yet. I have heard of the constructive boredom thing before, but nothing in detail. Please elaborate if you wish, I'd love to hear about it I always just spontaneously start crying when I get deep enough into the fast. It just happened a few minutes ago. I need to go home and let it all out. Any ideas there? Old emotions coming out or something? It's fascinating, and I love it and love the experience, and love how close it makes me feel to my body. I've never loved my physical body the way I have since I started fasting...something about it really makes me connect my mental and physical parts. Oh, if you had something more to say about the dentist visit and cavities, please do, I would love to hear it You don't think the distilled water would have weakened my teeth though? Thanks a lot, please elaborate on anything you wish or have time to, I am a hungry mind Joe rawfood , " Elchanan " <Elchanan wrote: > > Hi Joe, > > Three items: > > 1.
