Lynne,

 

I wouldn't use a machete on a mature coconut, unless you are using

the back of the machete, much like you can use the back of a meat

cleaver as described here:

I also explain how I remove the " meat " at the above link.

You can drink the mature water, depending on how fresh it is. The

young coconut water tends to taste better and there is more water in

the young coconut.

The bean seeds are the best tasting, but I also use organic pure

vanilla extract when I run out of beans.

They're expensive... but SO good!
