Guest guest
Thanks, KF. I just plugged myself into savebiogems.org and look forward to contributing. Hope others are doing the same, since our strength comes from our collective action. Its nothing new Erica, I used to be on an Eckart Tolle list and sometimes would post little stories of my encounters in nature (with wild animals). The stories were really well loved by many. At some point in time I discovered NRDC and their BIOGEMS movement and d. It is a way to become involved in lobbying to save environments and particularly the species that live there. It was real real easy, when an issue arose, Biogems would email me and I could automatically send an email to congress protesting over the next idiotic Bush proposal for wilderness/habitat destruction. They would also send mails announcing their success or failure of this lobbying. From what I could observe, they actually do make a difference. The problem for me though, is that I do not have a congressman cos I live in England! But do you think I could get one member of that spiritual group who so professed their love of nature to join? NO! (well, actually yes, one did join). Its like de Mello says, people want relief not a cure, a cure is painful and they want relief from the pain they have now. So if you or anyone else is interested in North American wilderness and habitat protection the link is below; http://www.savebiogems.org/ there is also a link to the NRDC site itself on the above page, just click on the NRDC logo. -- the kneeling fool
