Apple pie - Fat Content

HI there,

 

I imagine the recipe below tastes great ... but the request was for a

low-fat recipe.

 

This is a high-fat recipe. 3 cups of sunflower seeds, more than 800

calories, 73% from fat. 1 cup raisins, 500 calories, 1% from fat. (Dates

similar.) Therefore, this recipe is nearly 50% fat, as percent of calories.

Fruit Seed Pie Crust

Crust for a 9 inch pie

 

INGREDIENTS:

3 c sunflower seeds, soaked (sesame seeds is also good to try)

1 c dates or raisins, pitted (any date is good except bread dates)

 

METHODS:

Put the above through a Champion juicer or food processor.

If using the Champion, no water is neede.

If using the food proceesor, add about 2 ounces of water.

Flatten the seed crust onto the edge.

Make it 1/4 inch on the bottom.
