You mean the natural sea sponges? I honestly am not sure. I suppose. I

am not sure if they have a nervous system, or what they feel, if they

were. Hemp was alive, as was bamboo, in a sense of the term, but those

are viable, renewable resources. I have not used the sponges, but have

heard good things about it. Do you use them? I wish I could be more

help. I would welcome any other commentary on this as well. Erica

Although it may be natural itis using a living being-

not really for a rawfoods discussion

thanks for replying .

I don't use them.

I just started thinking about them during that thread awhile back.

I reember you had heard good things about them so I thought of using

them and then realized that they would have been alive so it didn't

seem right.

Since I have been eating more raw I don't really have much of a

period & that and getting older (part of a day)

I don't think I'll bothertrying them.

I don't know what goes on in the life of a sponge :-)
