Guest guest
Hi Erica, You write: ___ I have a great custard recipe, but it's young coconut meat and I know 8/1/1 doesn't believe in coconuts ___ 80/10/10 is a concept, an idea ... it neither believes nor disbelieves in anything. Rather, those of us who choose in that direction learn to become increasingly aware of what is in the foods we eat ... their macronutrient composition. We are not against coconut meat, we simply realize that if we eat much of it, or eat it very often, we are likely to slow ourselves down a bit in life. Now, I know of a WONDERFUL raw " milk shake recipe " , which I share here in honor of all those who wish to eat some coconut meat today. Ingredients: Meat and water from a coconut or two. Beans scraped from inside one vanilla bean. Instructions: Blend well and serve. _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Erica Wednesday, September 26, 2007 9:41 AM rawfood [Raw Food] Re: kids & healthy eating Janet, I know you do the Natural Hygiene thing - I just posted that since I believe you had listed you do pancakes with buckwheat, etc., for your little one? I thought it was in your post - and that seemed it required dehydration (no?) Either way, for birthdays or something, maybe even a pudding (still not dehydrated) wouldn't be so bad. Then you get into the whole idea of culture versus health, and compromise, blah blah blah, it's all so crazy. I have a great custard recipe, but it's young coconut meat and I know 8/1/1 doesn't believe in coconuts.... Still, it'll all work out. :-) Maybe do the whole carving fruit into fun shapes and neat stuff deal. Jazz up plain fruit! :-) Erica

Thanks for clarifying - and good to hear. I love coconut water/meat and I feel great on it. The milk looks delicious!
