Guest guest
OK, once again, bad science and nonsense is continually parotted. That still doesn't make it so. Once again Elchanan speaks what is actually so. Before debating further, read this: http://www.beyondveg.com/tu-j-l/raw-cooked/raw-cooked-2b.shtml#enzymes YES, that guy has an agenda too, one I don't agree with, BUT this section is on the money. Basically enzymes don't survive cooking, but they don't survive swallowing either, they are protiens, your body makes the enzymes it needs, additional ones are not required for anything. They have NO biological or chemical activity in your body, NONE. ZERO. I eat mostly raw. Why? The less processed the food the better, NOT that raw is better, just as it gets further processed more bad stuff is added like fats, salt, sugars, etc. So what is the main benefit of raw? FIBER, yes, it's that simple. Repeatable experimantation shows the following and you can easilly observe it yourself: Eat mostly raw, time to eliminate, what happens? You easily and quickly eliminate a pile that looks like it came from an elephant. Your " business " takes maybe 20 seconds, no food left hanging around to slow you down or sap your energy. Eat mostly cooked, processed, meat/dairy and what happens? Elimination takes longer, with more effort and you get a pile that looks like it came from a poodle. As far as colonics and all that nonsense, eat much fiber (raw) and it is similar to eating scotchbrite pads, all internal plumbing nicely scrubbed, eat low amounts of raw and not so much. STOP trying to make this brain surgery. Eat the highest possible nutrient density and fiber per calorie (a mostly raw plant based diet) and enjoy the fewest health problems. It's just that simple. You don't need the latest goji this, hemp that, baby coconut, special juice and other multi-level products. You don't need products, you need plants, watch your B12, D3, DHEA in response to regular blood testing. See veghealth.com for good vitamin coverage. Remember much of our food is grown in depleted soil or sand and doesn't have the nutritional profile it should. See EWG.ORG for great info on what you should buy organic and what doesn't matter so much. Turn the focus to making a mostly raw plant diet, interesting, appealing, tasty and something you religiously stick to. It saved my life and made serious health problems go away, but don't over analyze it or romaticise it. Eat low on the totem pole like the China study and heartattackproof.com suggests and live longer. That's about it. You don't need to " understand " it in order to get started and do it. rawfood , " Elchanan " <Elchanan wrote: > > Yes, exactly.
