I’d just posted this this morning, and then saw that there had been a

similar thread

over here about caffeine, cocoa, nibs, etc. Our conversation had gone from

Loco Cola

to WD-40, to Laws of Life.

I thought some might enjoy another perspective.

Law of Dual Effect/Natural Laws of Life (Shelton - Sniadach) [WAS

WD-40]

ahh..WD-40 'twas a fairly " late in life " learning for me also...

I worked with a very good maintenance man (retired Navy), Louis, when I

managed a label plant in Tampa,

FL. After quite a bit of conversation, and " repeated " machine failures, we

were able to eliminate the machine failures by removing the WD-40. No

matter how many " info/instructional " classes we'd conducted with the

employees (myself included) where Louis explained how it worked, and what

was happening, the employees would continue to use it, even when much better

alternatives were available. Even though it initially causes the bolt/nut

to loosen, the longterm effect is the opposite: it erodes the metal. The

real problem comes in when the WD40 is used repeatedly, as if if has some

type of " lubricating " effect; it does not.

Now, how might this tie into what we're doing here? ahh..thanks for asking!

lol!

One of the Laws of Natural Hygiene is the Law of Dual Effect, described as :

The Law Of Stimulation or Dual Effect: Whenever a toxic or irritating agent

is brought to bear upon the living organism, the body puts forth vital

resistance - which manifests itself in an action at once accelerated, but

also impaired. This resistance diminishes the bodily power precisely to the

degree to which it accelerates action. The increased action is caused by the

extra expenditure of vital power called out, not supplied, by the

stimulatory process. In consequence, the available supply of power is

diminished by this amount.

I find that almost all " stimulants, irritants, excitants.. " etc, fit nicely

into this definition. (Loco Cola included) Caffeine comes to mind - it

appears initially as a stimulant, where it is actually toxic. The initial

response, as we've discussed here frequently, appears as one of

" stimulation " - increased heartbeat/pulse, seemingly more " energy " . What

has happened in fact is that the body has mustered additional resources on

an emergency basis to deal with this toxic invader - yes, there is initially

more " energy " , energy provided by the body to rid itself of this toxic

agent. Rather than being energizing, it is actually enervating - it is

drawing down the body's energy level, expending precious energy to deal with

this invader. All of which flows wonderfully from the 1st Law:

Life's Great Law: Every living cell of the organized body is endowed with an

instinct of self-preservation, sustained by an inherent force in the

organism called " vital force, " " life force, " or " nerve energy. " The success

of each living organism - whether it be simple or complex - is directly

proportional to the amount of its life force and inversely proportional to

the degree of its activity. (ibid)

Please see source for all sixteen (16) laws. Much of this is also covered

in T.C. Fry's Life Science Health

System (LSHS)

And we've now circled from Loco-Cola to WD-40, to Natural Laws of Life; too

much fun!

best,

Bob

Thanks for posting this, Bob. I had to laugh - a totally unrelated subject,

but when we were kids, my cousin and I used to play a game, where the evil

mastermind was called... " WD-40 " . (the rest all makes sense too ;o) )
