Guest guest
I once had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with an older gentleman who studied with Herbert Shelton and was a Shelton devotee. He told of a time when he thought, " I'll just have this one milk shake, then I'll be all raw again tomorrow " . He had been all raw, at the time, for YEARS!! Took him 3 months to get back that that place. The problem is that we've all grown up around this stuff, our systems are well programmed to enjoy it, addict to it, whatever. Dinner at a frie A perfect description of addictions. You just can't have one... It's amazing how I can not have a thought or craving for rich, heavy high fat raw desserts during normal living, eating. Then, I'll be at a raw food potluck and " think " I can just have a bite of two or three... All of a sudden they look so good! It's rare that I stop there. Usually, I wind up eating so much more that I " intended " that I feel horrible for a day or two while the body processes the overload. Yep! I'm a recovering addict... ..wyn
