Water from foods, not from drinking (WAS: Speaking of ants (Caron & son)

Caron,

Not much time, this one will be quick and probably incomplete.

By design, we are not set up to drink much water. Rather, we are designed to

get most of our water in our primary foods, fruits and green leaves. Indeed,

in my experience people who eat this way eventually reach a place where they

drink relatively little water, compared with most people. Remember,

throughout most of our species history, fetching and carrying water has been

a major project; people have not, generally speaking, had easy access to

water as we do not. Similar, in a sense, to nuts. When we have to pick them

from a tree and break them open one by one, eating nuts presents an entirely

proposition than when we simply grab a bagful of already picked and shelled

nuts from a bin in a store that we drive to.

Make sense?

- Elchanan We drew the line around the

baseboards in the affected rooms, sometimes inside cabinets (as in bathrooms

or kitchens). Seems to be working.

Thanks, I'll try that :o)

As for cups, I'll let you sort through that. :) A wooden cup might be fine,

hadn't thought of that idea. Lacquer ... depends on what is used, some may

be just fine. I suggested ceramic because it likely IS fine, demitasse

because it is very small, for the small hand.

I'll see what I can find :o) Am very worried about breakables, because only

the bedrooms have carpet in this house, all the other floors are wood or

tile. I'm a bit curious as to what would be used by someone living

naturally, way back when - I recall a discussion about water bags a few

months ago, but they seem to be from animals. More research :o)

Makes perfect sense, as always ;o) He doesn't drink a lot of water, usually

a

sip now and then throughout the day, more on a hot day...Hence the half-cup

of water sitting on the bench ;o) I drink litres of water a day, but we've

already established that I'm chronically dehydrated, and will be till my

health gets back on track.
