Guest guest
Hi... I am new to this group and know very little about a raw food lifestyle, but I am very interested. I have a plethora of reasons for wanting to make this change in my life, some private, some not. If anyone could point me in the direction of some good resources for a beginner, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Georgette
Guest guest
Hi Georgette, This forum can be a good resource if you have any immediate questions you would like to ask. Other than that the best resources are books! So, read the " Fit for Life " series, they're a good start. The " Ph Miracle for Weightloss " is a good one, as are the books by Joel Fuhrman (I forgot the titles, but he has several). This will give a good overview and get the general idea across, but there are a few differences in their philosophy - for example, how much fat to consume. The differences between them, though, are small compared to the similarity of the message - eat more raw fruits and veggies, the more the better! And once you have the general idea of the type of books you're looking for, you can go out and find others which are similar. You will be blown away by the sheer depth and amount of knowledge you will learn about eating the right way! It will be like a mask being lifted! Hi Georgette, 80-10-10 (by Doug Graham) is a great read, and works too - I've seen huge improvements in my son's health since he's been eating that way, and have noticed improvements in my own health when I eat that way (in between my struggles with addictions). 2-3 days is enough to see huge improvements.
