What a blessing. I have thought that in some way, the spiritualism one can feel while fasting is related to the experience of death. Going without food for a long period and seeing your body get more and more tired IS very much like killing yourself. The energy people feel during an extended fast is likely simply the body doing what it can for itself to get you up and about and foraging for food! Likewise, the oft-reported increase in libido afterwards is your instinct saying " get out and multiply before you almost die again fool!!! " . Just my thoughts...
