Guest guest
<<The farther we roam from the habitat for which we are ideally designed, the more challenging life becomes. From such challenges arises great ingenuity and inventiveness. And equally, from such challenges arises a sense of adversity with Nature, a separation from Nature's design. And so we see clearly our inventiveness, our creativity, our denial, our harshness, all at the same time. Best, Elchanan>> Well worth pondering. Guest guest
Ok, now I have been folowering this disssusion and I have to say somting. I dont belive in romantesising the inuit or any other indiginous cultures. The average age of a inuit was around 40. Yes they ate a lot of raw fish, blober, liver a.s.o. and dident have as much heart peoblems as the rest of us, but they did have their weakneses. They had other degenerative dieases insted. They lived, and somplaces still do, under really harsh conditions. They dident die of old age, but of accident or diseases. Few did reach an advanced age, like any other places, but not the majority. Many cultures ate a really one sided diet, not really healthy. I have read some place that inuits sufferd from ostoporosis. Maby because of lack of sun (vit. D)and someplaces months at the time. There is no perfect way of living or culture. Everything has its limits. It is good to have a good amound of fatty acids... but weak bones ? There are place who still eat a lot of raw fish and blober, f.ex. Iceland. They are hard sturdy people but I sill dont belive they have a much higher average age that the rest of the westeren world. I belive that health is as much in what you out in your mouth as what is in your mind.
