Guest guest
Hi Raoul, I realize that Dr. Howell is heralded as something of a hero by many RFs. But if you read CAREFULLY, you'll see quite clearly that he speculated upon many points. And it turns out that some of his speculations were just plain wrong. He did the best he could with the technology and other resources available to him, and I do believe his book is worth reading. Just not worth canonizing. I would share that one of the great embarrassments I have experienced, upon a couple of occasions, occurred in the company of chemists, listening to some raw food teacher (not to be named here) blabbering about enzymes. It took considerable effort on my part, following the departure of that teacher from the conversation, to keep those chemists in the conversation. For among scientists, RFs who spout about enzymes come across, quite honestly, as ignoramuses and tend to diminish the credibility of the whole RF concept. There are FAR better, more accurate reasons for choosing a RF program. Relying upon Howell's book as a primary, definitive information resource may be commonplace among RFs, but it is a mediocre choice from a scientific perspective. The secret is in the enzymes. We waste our metabolic enzymes by eating cooked food or non organic foods that have been irradiated, full of pesticides etc. We need to preserve our precious enzyme bank by eating enzyme rich foods, end of story. I personally supplement my enzyme bank by taking systemic enzymes and digestive enzymes in conjuction with eating mostly raw sprouted foods. I have been doing this for almost three years and the diffrence is incredible. I feel as if thought I have rejuvinated about 20 years. Get the book and read it, it will change your life.
