Guest guest
I agree, Janet, and I'd add some more: When we eat primarily fruits and tender green leaves, and occasionally some nuts or seeds, we do not, in fact, kill even the plant. The difference here is utterly complete. Now some may say, " Yes, but we kill the lettuce plants " , etc. Well, we possess the capacity to grow our own, to harvest the leaves and to leave the plant until it goes to seed, which is its end of life. THEN we may harvest the seeds (that we may grow more of our own) and take the plant. Best, Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Janet FitzGerald Sunday, September 16, 2007 4:49 AM rawfood [Raw Food] Plants have feelings, too. Elchanan, Honestly, I had to hold myself back. Everyday I watch friends and families consume meat and milk. I can't really blame them, for they do not know, and their power of denial is strong. I may be wrong about this, but because of " mad cow disease " I was under the impression that the practice of feeding cows meat has largely stopped. Do you know the status of this?
