Guest guest
I belive that the study on eskimos eating habits is found in Dr. Edward Howells book, " Enzyme Nutrition " , a great book by the way. While they ate a raw diet of mostly animal proteins they where " healthy " and lived in the 90's. Once they were civilized and started to cook their food they only lived into their 40's. They developed all of our modern day ailments. By the way while they were raw they died of over acidity. In other parts of the world people on a raw plant based diet lived to be 120 years old. Guest guest
Raoul, I am going to see if I can pick up that book at the Library if they have it. I guess all in all the Eskimo compared to one on a plant based diet does not live as long. Interesting. Also the fact that they are forced to fast during times when there is no food as earlier mentioned- perhaps this keeps them from getting disease? I also wonder if living in such a freezing environment, working so hard for food and not having enough sunshine play a part in their life span as well. Or perhaps it is mainly the lack of raw veggies and fruits and too much protein or a little of both? I guess it is kind of is a mystery.....
