Guest guest
Hi everyone, I thought this brief post, from the PathOfHealth group, might interest some. Question: How can we eat to optimize the restfulness of our sleep? Brief Response: Digestion for the day should be complete before we lie down. To accomplish this simple goal: 1. Eat foods that digest quickly and easily, allowing a time of rest in the digestive system. (Fruits and greens, primarily.) 2. Don't eat shortly before bedtime! The whole idea is NOT to be digesting, to any substantive degree, throughout the entire time we are sleeping. Then the system can direct its energy and other resources toward other constructive activities ... including clearing the mind (as by dreaming more fully and more richly). Best to all, Elchanan
