RE: [Raw Food] Raw-attack-tics

Hi Gang - below is my first posting that I received from this group -

seemed

like I jumped in at lively time. Anyway, I know I am going to enjoy

everyone's input. I have had many vegan friends over the years who have

gently tried to influence me. The thing that tipped me over was the China

Study and I have switched over and am encouraging many to read it. I know

it

is a really big study and perhaps leaves out more than it answers but does

anyone know of a intelligent critique of it that I can read and be able to

answer questions.

Thanks

Dale

Wow, has he been doing that?

I really don't care what Elchanon says about me, insults are greeted with

the

respect they deserve, i.e. empty space. Let him continue, I've got plenty!

;)

But I do care about balance so anyone who's interested in a wider range of

views, here's an article in two parts worth reading.

The Myths of Vegetarianism

Part 1 of 2

the link to part two is on the page.

It is well-written book by one of the scientists involved

in a massive epidemiological study of Chinese residents,

which found cancer and other diseases of affluence to be

closely tied to consumption of animal proteins (including

eggs and dairy):

I have a friend who stopped eating meat after reading this book. Oh,

and my dh and I stopped eating meat and dairy after reading it, too.

In fact, it made it very EASY to go vegan, practically overnight. We

bought this book for four people at Christmas.

Good reading,

Janet

thanks Janet, I just ordered it from our library...looking forward to

reading it!

It was easy for my husband and I to go fully 100% raw vegan overnight...we

first did a five-day nutritive cleanse that rid our body of some toxins as

well as gave us the nutrients we needed. After that the cravings were gone

and we went full speed ahead raw!

Take care,

Jackie
