Guest guest
Hi Janet, Yes, animal foods are identified in the major nutrition studies as THE primary cause of most osteoporosis. All the sulfur in the flesh (particularly the amino acid methionine), and the very heavy protein casein that predominates in the milk of most large 4-legged mammals, so overload the human body with acid that there is no physiological or metabolic alternative other than to disassemble bones from the inside, out and then to use the liberated material to neutralize acid. I've scanned some of the comments about onions, garlic, and the like. I've only met one person who ever stopped eating these for, say, 60 days, then tried them again, and liked them AT ALL. In general, once we clear these items from our system, our system then responds with the full force of its vitality the next time we eat them. Those people who sing the virtues of onion, garlic, etc. in terms of this nutrient or that chemical are themselves completely rooted in the medical model of health. They think in terms of symptoms and antisymptoms ( " treatments " ), with little or no regard for what may have caused any given condition. They seek only to " cure " or " alleviate " or otherwise lessen the condition. But the condition is a (set of) symptom(s), a response by the human body to some already-present problem. Attempting to " get rid of " the symptom entirely ignores the original problem. In fact, you'll rarely hear such people devote a single sentence to discussing whatever the underlying cause of the condition may be. Until people cross over, one person at a time, from this way of thinking and into another way, where we embrace, appreciate, and learn from our symptoms, and where we create health from the inside, out, so that no treatments or " special foods " are ever " needed " , then these people will continue insistently in the same conversation. Those who genuinely comprehend Nature's ways will simply nod politely and move on; those who do not comprehend, who feel confused by all the " differing views " , lack a foundation upon which to build a clear understanding of their own. We hope that some will listen and learn how to create health from the inside, out, so that no treatments are ever " needed " again. Guest guest
Okay then I am confused. You can look up anywhere the health benefits of onion. You're saying they're no good? Why? Sure, onions and garlic taste bad, and I think anyone only ever eats them thinned out in a larger dish. Why would a veggie like that, that's been eaten for what, thousands of years, end up being bad for you? I don't think I agree, but would like to hear more from your side. Perhaps I missed it, but I don't hear people speaking of symptoms or conditions in the posts on onions and garlic to which you refer. To general health and/or prevention, sure, but not of " getting rid of " a symptom. > Until people cross over, one person at a time, from this way of thinking and > into another way, where we embrace, appreciate, and learn from our symptoms, > and where we create health from the inside, out, so that no treatments or > " special foods " are ever " needed " , then these people will continue > insistently in the same conversation.
