Guest guest
Hi there, Your question is really applicable to all such products, not just a particular product. The practice you follow is widely taught in the RF world (and to an extent, elsewhere). 1. Question 1: Are you likely to do much harm this way? In the worst case, a given product contains fillers that are difficult to digest and therefore elevate the workload upon your digestive system. On an occasional basis, probably not much harm, depending upon your overall vitality--a function of the rest of your diet and lifestyle. On a more frequent basis, increasing the workload in the digestive tube diminishes overall vitality. 2. Question 2: Are you likely to do much good this way? Surprisingly, there is little QUALITY research in this regard. There is research, but honestly, from the perspective of good science, one might shrug and say, " Eh. " Some point to Kouchakoff's research during the 1920s, published in a pair of articles in 1930 and 1937, but his research was inconclusive. No one has ever updated his work, to my knowledge. Many people do report improved digestion of cooked foods when they consume with enzymes. However, it is almost impossible to determine, from such anecdotal evidence, whether the improvement is (a) real or imaginary; (b) a direct effect of the enzymes, or merely the result of improved vitality due to improvements in one's overall diet. Not much help, huh? :) But that's the straight poop. Again, I refer you to my earlier posts on enzymes (but food enzymes, not product enzymes), in posts # 26930 and 26960 in the group archive. For an additional minor comment, see also post #26956. Best, Elchanan PS: Please sign your posts, easier for others to keep track of who said what to whom. It is a Broad-Spectrum Support Plant-Source Hypoallergenic Formula. Contains: Amylase, Protease, Lipause, Cellulase. I take these capsules just before eating foods that are not raw. Or I open the caps and sprinkle the contents onto the cooked foods. Since I am new to a raw food diet I am taking these for awhile while I gradually up my raw food daily quota. Does anyone have any feedback regarding this product? Is this just a waste of money? tks
