I just had the pleasure of having UBUNTU 7.04 and AUTOMATIX installed

on my old laptop (new computer to me but discarded by another).

 

Foxfire, videos, wordprocessing etc. work fine and it is a low cost

slick alternative to Vista and OS10. I highly recommend it.

 

It works much better then the Mandrake 10.1 version I first tried a

few months ago.

 

Now is a great time to start exploring Linux. Especially if you have

a local linux users group to assist you with the transfer. In Portland

we have Porland Linux Users Group www.pdxlinux.org and www.freegeek.org
