Guest guest
Hi everyone, Over time, many here have expressed interest in the general topic of fasting. At this time, Seena Taylor, a Path of Health Community participant who lives in southern California, is on day 16 of a water fast. Since day 1, and in keeping with our commitment to service, Seena has chronicled her experience in a more-or-less daily blog located at http://seenafast.blogspot.com. I share this particular item, because Seena is carrying out an almost textbook-perfect fast. She began by settling into a healthful program of eating and an increasingly healthful lifestyle overall. She made a few slight changes in her diet during the days leading up to the fast, simplifying her already simple program a bit further, emphasizing high-water-content foods even more fully. We did some Dynamic Self-Discovery work, spread out over a period of 2-3 months prior to the fast, some of which was intended to help prepared Seena's mind for the upcoming experience. This seems to have gone quite well. Most important, Seena set aside time and space in her life, so that she can fast as long as her system wishes to fast. Premature termination of fasts triggers terribly difficult cravings in many people, to the extent that many of the benefits of fasting are lost within 60 days or so following the fast. I feel very confident that this will not happen to Seena, because she is so very well prepared. The fast itself has proceeded with ease and grace, though not without certain learning experiences, which Seena documents to whatever extent energy permits, always taking best care of herself, first. We check in briefly by phone twice each week, and I remain available throughout as needed. (No such need has arisen, however.) We have done a bit more of the subconscious work as her system/mind directs. We do not presently have any date set for breaking the fast, although, as we might all imagine, a part of Seena is ready to break the fast " now " . :) But she is committed to a full and successful experience. I invite you all to benefit from her experience and to direct any questions you may have to me. (Seena is resting :) Best to all, Elchanan
