Menses in the Context of Cleansing ... Note

Hi Janet,

This is right on point. I'd add just one small observation: in the beginning

that egg, a single cell, is not the size of the head of a pin. You can see

that!! In fact, it is microscopic in size ... requiring magnification for

the human eye to see it at all -- and requires a support infrastructure of

comparable magnitude.

Yes, most of what is not needed is reabsorbed ... people often forget that

recapture and recycling are integral throughout Nature, part of the design.

What the body MUST eliminate is quite minimal, indeed. Anything above and

beyond that occurs as an act of cleansing the system as a whole, not as an

act of elimination of the unfertilized egg.

I have removed " Monthly Hemorrhage " from the subject line, as I find this

description rather grotesque (though accurate, in a sense).

Bravo!

Elchanan

[Raw Food] Re:Monthly Hemorrhage

Very little tissue is needed for the implantation of an egg the size of a

head of a pin. What isn't used, in a healthy, clean, body, will be

reabsorbed by the body with minimal elimination, if any. The fertilized egg

is called a zygote, and that grows to a mass of cells that form a hollow

ball called a blastocyst, then cells begin to differentiate and form into an

embryo. (However, it is also correct to call an embryo anything from a

fertilized egg up until the eighth week.) As this transformation takes

place, the tissues surrounding the new life remain and prepare to protect

and nourish. So, the tissues there at the time of the " period " are only

preparing for a very small embryo, not a fetus, and not a baby.

There are raw food eating mothers that have claimed not to have a bloody

period and to have conceived children brought to full term. I recently

heard of one, and she has three children. If I run across it again, I'll be

sure to post a link to the source.

Personally, I think it would be great if there was no need for an industry

that finally figured out the benefit of wings. ;-) I guess the Menses

Industry finally hired a woman to design their products...or something!
