Guest guest
Just remember that " public " means " government " . " Public servants " are government servants, they are not servants of We, the People, as many may believe. The more people bring up concerns to their public " servants " , the more changes we could see toward safer water for public pools. Maybe we can all work on a letter to put into the Files section for everyone on the group to use. If people are convinced the alternative systems like ozone and ultra-violet will take care of germ fears, I believe towns and cities will be willing to make that change. Education is what is needed. Guest guest
It is true, many " Public Servants " serve self interest and special interest, but not all. E.G., see Charlie Crist, Governor of Florida. His mantra seems agreeable to me: " I remember every day that you are the people of Florida and that you have entrusted to me the privilege to serve you. You're my boss and I will always be focused on what you have to say, and I will strive to accomplish the things you need, " Crist says in the nearly two-minute address. -- Charlie Crist; Weekly Radio Address tev http://www.cristtransition.com/ " Thank you for your confidence and I look forward to serving as the “People’s Governor”. " Mission Statement: " Florida is at a pivotal moment in her history, and our best days are still ahead. As we enter this new and exciting era, I thank you for choosing me as your next Governor. From now until Inauguration Day, my mission is clear: to establish an ethical and hard working administration that will reflect Florida’s diversity, that will listen to your ideas, and that will fight for you, the people of Florida. Simply put, I will appoint leaders with integrity who will work hard with me everyday to provide hope, safety and opportunity for every Floridian. I will work with leaders from both political parties to fight for less taxes, less government and more freedom. Together, we will tackle soaring insurance premiums and rising property taxes. We will create a world-class education system. We will protect our children from predators and reduce Florida’s murder rate. We will lower drug costs and fight to provide health insurance for uninsured in Florida. We will provide opportunities for our seniors to live with dignity and independence, and we will protect Florida’s incredible natural resources.
