(anxiety disorder) I have decided that while it is not practical for me to switch jobs or quit my job at this time, it could be better. My doctor is aware of my beliefs about not putting tons of medicines in my system, etc, so she contacted my employer to advise that I should be allowed to work from home. I'm not doing that YET, but I am in the process of requesting an accomodation for my anxiety disorder. And although I would hate to do it, if the agency acts in any kind of unlawful manner, I will hire a lawyer. I'm asking to work from home so that I can control the environment, feel less stressed b/c I am also getting things at home done (so it's not like I leave a mess to go to work and leave work to work some more), practice breathing exercises/visualization/meditation as necessary in order to make it a regular practice, practice yoga in the middle of the day (huge dream of mine!), and have access to all of my healthy foods in the fridge all day. I declined the prescriptions I was offered, as they are addictive, and in the past have caused me to gain 30+ pounds, even while exercising and eating healthy.
