Guest guest
I too know of girls and women athelets that lose their periods (though I don't know of any that have had children. Good to know that some can have children without the monthly mentrual flow) Anyway, it would seem that the shedding of blood(a little, a lot, or none at all) might have something to do with either the fat intake or the stored body fat or perhaps it has to do with their high physical activity, or maybe all of the above. Guest guest
I have always heard that the lack of a period is due to a low body fat percentage...thus explaining why many elite athletes, along with women suffering from eating disorders, experience the cessation of their monthly cycle. --- Belinda <MistyBlueTN wrote: > I too know of girls and women athelets that lose > their periods > (though I don't know of any that have had children. > Good to know > that some can have children without the monthly > mentrual flow) > > Anyway, it would seem that the shedding of blood(a > little, a lot, or > none at all) might have something to do with either > the fat intake or > the stored body fat or perhaps it has to do with > their high physical > activity, or maybe all of the above. > > > Belinda > > > > > > I always thought it was strange that a tiny little > egg could cause > > such an uproar on a monthly basis.
