I recently had a pleasant experience with this chain. Below is my

letter to them, and below that is their reply.

Customer Comments:

I dont shop at Ingles because I eat organic food. I live in Grayson,

GA, shop weekly for fresh produce, so will travel a long distance to

get my daily food (Whole Foods and Sevananda).

 

July 4th weekend my husband and I were hiking the Blue Ridge Trail.

We camped at Mama Gerties in Asheville and shopped at Ingles. I was

*very* impressed! I had no idea Ingles had started carrying a

Natural and Organic line! This is important information for us who

live in Gwinnett County, GA, where shopping for natural and organic

foods means a long drive into Atlanta.

 

At the Lawrenceville, GA store, I spoke with Mr. Culpepper, the

Produce Manager, Bob Dunn, the Store Manager, and the Customer Service

representative - all were very nice, very helpful, and very attentive.

And I asked them all, " Why doesnt Ingles advertise that it carries

natural and organic products? "

 

I sometimes shop at Publix for organic produce; but, there, I feel

like I am in two stores - Public and Greenwise - because all their

healthy foods are in a seperate section. I really like the Ingles

lay-out, where the Natural and Organic is next to the non-natural/-

organic products. Well done!

 

So .. I came home and decided to write, because I want 'you' to know

how pleased I am with the 'new' Ingles. Keep up the good work with

Natural and Organic products and I will not only continue to shop

there but will recommend Ingles to all my friends as well!

and/or gluten free products. What you see on the shelves at Ingles is

driven by you, the consumer! If there is a product you would like to

buy at Ingles, take as much information about it as possible to your

store manager and discuss with him or her that you would like to buy

this product at Ingles. If you have any suggestions for specific

products, please let us know.
