Guest guest Posted February 17, 2010 Report Share Posted February 17, 2010 I'm looking for recipes for a bean-based travel food that I can just stick in my pack and have some protein when other suitable foods are scarce. I can always find calories, but protein is sometimes hard to find. Vacuum-packed might be a possibility but no cans or refrigeration. [Forbiddens: soy, gluten grains, oats, quinoa, amaranth, casein, peanuts, chocolate.] I can eat tree nuts in small quantities but don't want to rely on them. Any ideas?
