Guest guest
Melonade This homemade lemonade has a melon twist, but also try fresh raspberries or tropical fruit, such as pineapple, mango and guava mixed with passionfruit. You can dilute with water or soda water. --------- Preparation: 15 minutes + 3 hours to chill Cooking: 10 minutes --------- 6 to 8 lemons, scrubbed 2 cups sugar 2 cups pureed melon pulp (rockmelon -OR- honey melon -OR- watermelon) water -OR- soda water to dilute as desired 1. Using a vegetable peeler, peel zest thinly from 3 lemons. 2. Place zest, sugar and 1 cup water in a stainless steel saucepan. 3. Bring to the boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat; simmer, without stirring, for 5 minutes. Cool, 4. Juice all the lemons and stir into syrup. Add melon puree. 5. Chill for 3 hours. Dilute to your taste.
