Middle Eastern Red Lentil Soup

I printed out the recipe immediately when I read it and am looking forward to

trying it out. Now that I know the creator, Susan is part of the group I hope

you will answer a question. While I have seen red lentils in the market I have

never purchased nor eaten them. Do you prepare them the same way you would brown

lentils; pick through them and then wash them before cooking? I'm really looking

forward to finding out how they taste.
