Guest guest
For your holiday parties, maybe?? These are vegan and very low fat. Mary Wants a Cracker Organic and Gluten-Free Crackers That Are Just Asking To Be Eaten       Not all crackers are created equal. Most are delicious but full of junk, and others are über healthy but require a tub of hummus spread to distract you from the taste of tree bark. Few crazy crackers find love in the gap in between.Created by baker Mary Waldner in her own kitchen, these ridiculously tasty brown rice crackers are her gluten-free answer to an inability to digest foods containing the Big “G.â€Â Think no wheat, barley, rye or oats. Brutal. So, Mary got busy. While all of Mary’s Gone Crackers are gluten free, the recipe calls for 100-percent organic ingredients, including whole grain brown rice, quinoa, flax and sesame seeds. She’s skipped the added fat of most other snack crackers and created a cracker that could kick any Oreo addiction. Amazing with hummus, veggies, spreads, dips and dollops, Mary’s flavors include yummy Original Caraway, Black Pepper, Herb and Onion (Onion flavor will make you go Mmmmm!) For the cooks in the kitchen, you can also get Gone Crackers 'Just The Crumbs,' perfect for casseroles, crusts, toppings or anything else you may want to “bread.â€Â Also part of the cracker arsenal - a cracker/pretzel hybrid called Sticks & Twigs that, like the crackers, contains no fats or oils but is loaded with 550 mg of Omega-3 per serving. Mary’s Gone Crackers are available at most health food stores, as well as Bristol Farms and Whole Foods. Visit www.marysgonecrackers.comFrom Julie H of Healthybitch.com Patricia Squyres Marion Nestle's cardinal rules for eating better: Never buy anything with a health claim. Guest guest
I got the herb and original flavors for my end of summer cookout party and everybody loved them! Nobody realized all my dips were vegan too! It was great because my one friend was going on and on how he couldn't eat my diet, all gf food taste like cardboard and tofu is gross, etc. After he devoured half the roasted red pepper dip with the crackers I informed him that the food he was just raving out and cramming in his mouth as fast as he could was gf and the dip was made with tofu! That sparked a conversation with everybody asking questions and really being facinated with how great my food tasted without a spec of dairy! And everybody is hooked on those crackers now! They definately are a crowd pleaser! On Mon, Dec 14, 2009 at 3:15 PM, Patricia A Squyres <p.squyreswrote: > > > For your holiday parties, maybe??
