Here's a cool Halloween-season tidbit. Apparently, vegetarians come in all

shapes and sizes!

Two scientific journals Current Biology and Nutritional Ecology recently

reported that until recently, it was thought that all spiders were strict

predators. However, an exception is now known: Bagheera kiplingi, a Neotropical

jumping spider that is predominantly herbivorous. The main diet of this spider

is leaf tips from a type of acacia. It lives in a mutually beneficial

relationship with the ants that inhabit the hollow thorns.
