Inappropriate

Dear group members --- I am a hurt that I have received an email,

specific to me (using my name) and extremely foul language. It is

intended to go to the group, but I will not approve it for posting.

It offends me greatly! List members, I am NOT the one who manages the

personal settings on your accounts. If you have tried to get

off and it hasn't worked, it has nothing to do with me personally! I

have moderated this great group for nearly ten years now and have put

my heart and soul into making sure spam and inappropriate emails are

moderated out instead of going to the group. It's something I quietly

do every day. You should know by now that I am generally a gentle

soul --- but I am offended and cannot imagine why anyone would use

such language directed to me. When I was a high school teacher, such

students had 100 sit ups to do on the spot (in front of the class) and

a trip to the principals office. They were only allowed back into my

classroom when they apologized. That was the rule. But when I think

about it --- none of my high school students EVER used this language

directed to me. They had far too much respect. I apologize to all

the other list members who have always been gracious and kind. But

two emails in the same day, directed at me for troubles that I have no

control over, are hurtful. The group will be closed until tomorrow

while I absorb this and find my equilibrium again.
