Guest guest
Tracy, I sympathize about feeling so attached to cheese. I had a lot of trouble giving up dairy products. I craved them for years afterwards. It's relatively common because the break-down products of casein (a major milk protein) is casomorphin. Yes, it actually is a naturally occuring opioid with addictive affects. It helps the babies that are supposed to be the ones consuming the milk keep coming back to mama and is sedative for them so they relax and sleep. Giving up dairy products of all kinds CAN be done though, and it's worth it. Dairy products are responsible for so many human ailments from acne to arthritis. http://www.vegansociety.com/people/health/dairyproducts.php Did you find the stuff I posted yesterday about " complete " protein? Deborah I have no advice 2 offer but I feel the same about parmesan cheese! Every other meat / dairy / etc no prob giving up. What is the info about ' complete ' proteins?
