Guest guest
Diana, how about starting with the recipe files of this list? There's more there than in more books! There aren't a whole lot of vegan gluten free recipe books on the market, it's a very small niche. I've either got or looked at most of them I think. They are ALL good. The people who put them together have a special awareness of dietary issues to be doing such a project, so I'd be hard pressed to recommend one over the other. Amazon.com offers most of them. Your local book store may have some. In any case, I think the files are a good place to start. Deborah OK, I'm going to try this again: Can somebody kindly direct me to a vegan/gluten free diet book. something simple. I don't like to cook. I just want to find out the basics and take it from there. Any help? PS I'm not interested in sweets. I just want to know how to eat 3 healthy meals a day that are vegan and gluten free. Thanks, Diana .

Guest guest
Hi Deborah, I just bought a book vegan cookbook " the gluten-free vegan 150 receipes " by susan O' Brian and " The Gluten-Free Vegetarian Kitchen: Delicious and Nutritious Wheat-Free, Gluten-Free Dishes' by Donna Klein. Thus far I am very impressed by what I am reading and the receipes. They are very knowledgable about Celiac and the do's and don'ts in regards to the same. I have a word of advice and I mean know desrespect at all. I have always been one to prepare magnificient meal for my family even after choosing the vegan lifestyleseveral years ago because of celiac. In the beginning I was really rah rah rah do the right thing. But I became bored and just maintained the diet without properly preparing meals (stayed away from meat and artificial stuff " . But now with what I am facing now I will go above and beyond the call of duty. I have read about individual being diagnosed with stomach cancer and other illnesses as a result of not paying attention to their bodies or just because. Sometimes the quick or easy way of doing things is not good enough. I went to purchase some food items today and found that I have to pay attention to every detail as much as possible. There is no quick fix to this!! The receipes in these books require time and patients unless you are interested in eating salad everyday. I hope this help. The books are very informative as well. Jules E. Dowler Shepard ( a celiac patient and author) has a book that discusses in detail alot of information. The book " Celiac Disease and living Gluten free " which also very informative. I wish you the best take care and continue to choose wisely for optimum health , " Deborah Pageau " <dpageau wrote: > > Diana, how about starting with the recipe files of this list? > > There's more there than in more books! > > There aren't a whole lot of vegan gluten free recipe books on the market, it's a very small niche.
