Guest guest
The problem I have with the Blood Type diet is that I cannot be vegan, or even vegetarian on this program. It makes no sense to me to add meat, fish, poultry into my diet when it's never been there. I agree that it's alright to discuss it briefly here, but let's remember that we are a *vegan* list. Thanks, LaDonna [moderator]
Guest guest
Correct. Besides we here should all know the harmful effects of animal products on the human body, so anyone who suggests anybody eat meat, dairy, or eggs has simply not read/done the research. --- On Fri, 6/5/09, Gracious Hospitality <gracioushospitality wrote: Gracious Hospitality <gracioushospitality Blood Type/Vegan List Friday, June 5, 2009, 12:49 PM The problem I have with the Blood Type diet is that I cannot be vegan, or even vegetarian on this program. Guest guest
With any type of diet, you take what fits and adjust it for you. With the typo O diet there are lots of meats suggested, but being vegan your not going to follow that recommendation! Basically your being told that more protein is good for you and there are plenty of vegan protein sources! I'm type A, which is ideal for a vegetarian diet according to the book, however there are plenty of things on the list that I can't eat and some that I should avoid according to the diet but I enjoy them frequently without complaint. I will say though that when I consume a lot of protein I do feel sluggish and out of balance. Just because the book list meats as allowable under certain categories does not mean that it is written in stone and you must eat it if you are that type! These recommendations come from the history of the blood types and what our ancestors ate out of necessity for survival. We can update the info to suit our needs and preferences of our bountiful modern times! On the flip side though I will tell you that my mother is type A as well and she indulges in meats, probably excessively for anyone but that may just be my opinion, and she has immense amounts of health problems! She is in her mid 50's and is thinking about early retirement because of her health, which is rapidly deteriorating! So I think there is something to the theory of what you eat affects your health!
