I personally don't care for tahini. I'm looking forward to trying this

recipe.

Quick and Easy Hummus, Lebanese

3 cloves garlic -- (3 to 4)

16 ounces garbanzo beans, canned -- drained

1/4 cup lemon juice

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper -- ground

1 dash hot sauce

1/4 cup olive oil

 

Process garlic in a food processor until chopped.

 

Add garbanzo beans, lemon juice, salt, pepper and process until smooth.

 

Add olive oil slowly to food processor while running.

 

Add hot sauce to taste.

I do a similar version, though add cumin instead of the pepper, and much less

olive oil. I also add fresh spinach, roasted red peppers, or a can of black

olives, and do it all in my blender until it is smooth and creamy. kosher salt

is much lower in sodium.
