Guest guest
Is anybody else having this problem? First it was the nasoya salad dressing but now I can't find half of the " cheeses " I like. My Whole Foods had one flavor of the follow your heart brand on the shelf. They only have the veggie parm with caesin in it. Also I can't find potato flour anywhere except online! They seem to be getting rid of the hemp milk which I love! It seems like more and more foods are disappearing and the ones taking their place are not dairy free, caesin free, or sometimes not even egg free! It's hard enough as it is! Why are the few safe products disappearing? Please don't tell me that the world is still treating celiac like a hollywood fad diet! It's so frustrating not being able to find food! I feel like I'm living in a third world country. Yeah, there's tons of food around us, but it's all poison! I'm starving to death in the middle of a giant, all you can eat buffet! Just ranting again! P.S. We are thinking about moving in possibly around 5 years (give or take) most likely to AZ, close to the Phoenix area most likely. Anybody with info on resources in that area please e-mail me (off list is fine) so I can start preparing for the move. I know I have lots of time, but having special dietary needs you can never be too prepared! Thanks for listening, helping, encouraging, etc. Peace! Guest guest
Have you requested the items at the store? Fill out one of the request forms at the store for each item you are looking for. As long as the manufacturer has not discontinued it, they should be able to get it. Also, have a couple of friends fill out the forms as well - even if they don't plan on buying it. I started doing this at one chain store where I was told " there just isn't enough demand for it. " Several friends filled out forms for me (with the promise that I do the same for them when need be), and when the product came in I bought 4 or 5 to create more " demand. " One item is now a regular seller at my store - I have to buy a few at a time because they run out so often! If the manufacturer has discontinued it, you might want to try calling or writing them. Having them re-start a product is more difficult, and could take a LOT of letters and phone calls. Sent from my iPhone
