Guest guest Posted February 1, 2009 Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 Toffee Nectarines 3 cups sugar 1/3 cup water 4 ripe nectarines, halved, stone removed, cut into quarters 4 teaspoons sesame seeds vegan vanilla ice-cream, to serve 1. Stir sugar and 1/3 cup water in a medium frying pan over moderate heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils. Reduce heat; simmer, without stirring, for 5 minutes or until syrup turns golden. 2. Add nectarine to pan; stir to coat in caramel. 3. Spoon nectarine into serving bowls drizzle with caramel. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with ice-cream.
