Guest guest Posted February 1, 2009 Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 Brekkie Fruity Oats 1 1/4 cups certified GF rolled oats 2 3/4 cups milk of choice 1 ripe banana, sliced 4 large strawberries, cut into quarters 1 kiwifruit, peeled, chopped clear honey -OR- golden syrup -OR- other sweet syrup, to serve 1. Combine oats and milk in a medium saucepan over moderate heat. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes or until thick and creamy. 2. Spoon porridge into serving bowls. Top with fruit; drizzle with honey and serve at once. VARIATION: For a bit of crunch, top with toasted shredded coconut or almonds. Serves 4.
