Guest guest
I'm feeling a bit confused, betrayed, sad, angry over the fact Nu-World Amaranth will no longer provide its customers with the following products: Snackers, Cereal Snaps, & O's My son is sensitive to rice & corn and I don't have an hour each morning to cook him something. I've got his nutritionist yelling at me, telling me " he needs more grains! " . And it was so nice to pour some cereal in a bowl and see his smiling face. It was fun for him, tasted great, versatile, and easy on days you just don't feel like cooking. Not to mention it was awesome to have around when traveling...for a snack and such. When your child is on the gfcfsf diet and is also sensitive to rice and corn you can imagine how very frustrating it is to almost never find pre-made products at your local grocery store and when you do find that " diamond in the rough " you cherish it and are so grateful of the product!!! According to Nu-World they no longer have a dedicated gf plant to make these products. The plant they were using to make the product told them they would not be able to have access to the plant for 6months to a year so the company decided to just stop producing the products all together. That's where my betrayal feelings come into play. Don't they (Nu-World) understand that there are customers out there that have come to depend on their products??? I'm willing to wait the 6months - 1yr!!! They may consider purchasing their own equipment to make these products in the future. That's where you come in...please email the Nu-World family and voice your concern. Even if you or your child has other alternatives please let them know how much you love their product and how important it is to continue offering gfcf foods...its a growing community, to say the least. If we take time to write and demand their products hopefully they will realize just how important their products are to us!!! Here is where you can email: ellen Each message will be forwarded to Sue the president of the company. Thank you for taking the time out to read this message and thanks in advance for taking the time out to write to Nu-World!!! I know my Nicholas will appreciate it!!! Guest guest
I personally have not even tried their products. I just sent them an e-mail though because I know how hard it is to find something you like and then how devastating it is to loose it! I really hope they do make their products again for you/your child and everyone else who relies on them! It's important for everyone to voice a concern because the more people they hear from the greater the odds of them listening. Even if you personally don't use or like the products, this is our community and we need to speak up for each others benefit! Guest guest
I am very disappointed too about Nu-World not making those cereals anymore. I didn't know. When I ordered from them, it always took forever. Too bad another gf company couldn't take over. It's so difficult to find non corn & rice cereals. My son does loves Perky's Nutty Flax---not sure if the ingredients will work for you. It's very crunchy. It comes in very small boxes, but goes along way because of the small size. I sweeten it with a tiny bit of honey or agave. I wish I hadn't added any sweetner at 1st to see if he would have liked it without extra sweetening. Good luck.
