Guest guest
Here's my Christmas lunch menu for this year. It doesn't actually change much from year to year. My extended family loves the veggies I cook and really look forward to them so I stick to the same things. I normally prepare everything on Christmas Eve so all I need to do is pop it all in the oven on Christmas morning: - Pre-bake the Tofu Turkey Roast - Make the Broccoli and Cauliflower in Cheese Sauce - Boil the potatoes ready for roasting - Cut the pumpkin - Make the Tomato and Onion Pie but don't bake it - Whizz up the gravy but don't cook it - Slice or stuff the mushrooms - Make the Ice Cream pudding This year I'll have to even more organised as my daughter, whom I haven't seen for 3 years, will be flying home to Australia from Houston, Texas, arriving Christmas Eve and the airport is 1 1/2 hours away. On top of that, one of my sisters always visits with her kids in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. Here's my menu: - Tofu Turkey Roast - Cashew Gravy - Cranberry sauce (purchased) - Roast potatoes - Roast butternut pumpkin (squash) - Broccoli and Cauliflower in " Cheese " Sauce - Tomato and Onion Pie - Baked sliced mushrooms (no time to stuff them this year) - White Chocolate and Cherry Bombe Kim
